HDMI to DVI for Quality Video Transmission
HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) is the only industry-standard interface for transmitting uncompressed digital data. HDMI cables are intended for use with a wide range of everyday electronic components, such as computers and a home theater system’s screen. HDMI provides video, especially at high resolutions, and renders small, high-contrast details, such as text, in high quality. DVI (Digital Visual Interface) is a video-interface standard that provides quality transmissions on digital display devices such as flat-panel LCD computer displays and digital projectors. Audio will need to be transmitted through a separate audio cable(s) or through a fiber-optic (Toslink) cable as the DVI connector of this cable is not fitted for audio capability.
For Use with Computers, Blu-Ray Players, and Game Consoles
This cable offers optimal support for resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 and is intended to connect computers and other source components with HDMI outputs–such as Blu-Ray players or Xbox 360/PlayStation 3 game consoles–to DVI-equipped televisions or monitors.
Turn Your Computer into a Home-Theater Center
The AmazonBasics HDMI to DVI Adapter Cable is intended to connect computers with DVI connections–such as home-theater PCs, Mac minis, and some laptops–to an HDMI-equipped HDTV, projector, or other display device.
For office professionals, you can use this cable to create quality presentations using your projector. For home users, the cable will help you turn your computer into a virtual home-entertainment center, so you can watch all your computer-based media on your home-theater screen.
Gold-Plated Connectors for Superior Conductivity
This AmazonBasics cable features shielding, a durable PVC outer layer, gold-plated HDMI A Male to DVI 24+1 Male connectors that resist corrosion while offering optimum signal transfer. To ensure compatibility, it’s best to check your component product manuals to determine what kind of connections your components require.

Review by K. Alkins for Original HP 564XL Black Ink Cartridge in Retail Packaging
Rating:
I purchased my printer in February 2009 and I believe that I have had to replace the regular size black ink cartridge at least three times. I would say that my print load is average. This time (the third time) I decided to get the XL size. I put it in April 10th and now (May 10th) the ink level is at 3/4. I am sure that with the regular size catridge I would be getting ready to change the cartridge again. I also like that the price via amazon was significantly cheaper than purchasing from staples or target. And it arrived quickly. I recommend using the XL no matter what, so that you don’t have to change so often. I also recommend this vendor based on my experience with them.

The starter cartridges that came with my HP C309a All-In-One were the standard 564 cartridges, which only lasted a couple weeks — and I don’t even print that much. I replaced the regular black cartridge with a 564XL, and even after a couple weeks of my usual (occasional) printing, the ink gauge is still at around 85%.
HP inks aren’t cheap, but even worse is having to buy them so frequently — I usually run out right before I need to print something important. The XL cartridge is a good value and lasts a good long time. This should be the standard HP inkjet cartridge.

Review by D. Fox for Original HP 564XL Black Ink Cartridge in Retail Packaging

There is really not much to say about a replacement ink cartridge. It works, it’s easy to install. The quality is top class. Make sure you have the correct cartridge because there is another black ink cartridge that is not for photos and they are not interchangeable. The photo ink cartridge is twice the size of the regular one.

For HP printers that take this cartridge – know that this is the larger black cartridge. The smaller one is the photo black ink cartridge.

The biggest complaint for personal inkjets is well.. ink. It’s always expensive and you feel like you are spending the lionshare of your purchase on the fancy packaging and plastic delivery mechanism. We use our printer for casual use and a decent amount of photo 4×6 printing. These XL inks definitely last longer than the std versions that shipped with the printer, and yellow always seems to go first. But they work as advertised, and never last as long as you want them to. We’ve had our printer for 2 years and replaced inks once a year now.
The colors seem to pop when using the special 4×6 papers and drying time is very fast. I haven’t seen any fading in pictures that were printed 2 yrs ago with these inks, and they are advertised to not fade, so i guess its working as advertised.

I use to connect my PC to the TV and the length is excellent, the field is strong, however, should suggest buying “Belkin Audio Y Cable Splitter 1-Mini Plug/2-RCA Plugs (6ft)” with this, because DVI does not transmit sound only video, but in general is just what the doctor recommended me

Well this cable was just what the doctor ordered. My old Mac Mini is tucked away behind the flat screen which now does more justice to the Mac Mini graphics than any monitor ever did.

I use this cord to attach a Blu Ray player to my 6 year old Toshiba projection TV (720p) which does not have HDMI ports. The picture is very good and the length of the cord allows me to run it through the top of the etertainment center, down the back, and then into the TV.
Pricing these from other big box stores found this to be about 1/3 of the price. Those store will tell you that their product is better, lasts longer, not as much heat, blah, blah. Well…
1) I see no difference in picture quality between this and more expensive brand names.
2) Heat? Off an HDMI>DVI cable. Ummmm, I have no idea what the Best Buy guy was talking about.
3) I can buy this one 3 times and still spend less money.
This is the best bet all around

The cable works great. because it is a DVI connector on the back of the computer, no sound will go to the TV via this cable. I would recommend the HDMI to HDMI if you would want sound also.
