I’ve been a application software instructor for 20 years, and would like to start a computer training center in Dubai. I wonder if there is a market for it. Also, is it safe for a woman to run a business like that.

the city is booming and more than 300,000 new citizens fly from overseas every year so i guess every business is an opportunity, Dubai i a cosmopolitan city and women are not a big deal, if you like to open your business contact me on my email dodo.baba@yahoo.com its my pleasure to help

The business you are getting into is highly lucrative but is a cut-throat segment of the industry and the mortality rate is quite high.
I have seen (even big international IT Training Cos.) a lot of companies who have folded up in a year or two due to stiff competition and the kind of status a certificate will get from one’s institute in the world market.
The best way for you to have an info on your chosen business is to visit the Dubai Chamber of Commerce web portal.

This portal will give you all the information in how to set up your business, how many business of this type is already in Dubai, who are they, etc…
Go to Commercial Directory and type under the online commercial directory the following: Information Technology or Computer, or Training and you will see the results..

you should come over and check your self. and yes it is safe for you as a woman to run a busniess Duabi is a very nice city.

you can if you have a good business ideas and management + meet required conditions ..
and yes women can do whatever they want as long as you don’t walk out naked lol ..
