i live in dubai and as every1 knows the apple online store doesn’t deliver to dubai. The dubai stores’ prices are higher and it doesn’t have the newest and highest configs. I got an aramax account to try and have apple ship it to aramax and then have them ship it to me but apple doesn’t ship to freight carriers>>> I have tried everything but i just cant get the apple computer i want (Macmini, 320 gb, 4gb ram, 2.25ghz) i don’t know what to do nay suggs???

Macs are like Happy Meals, there’s a shiny menu to choose from, but very little real variety on offer. Mac mini, iMac, Mac Pro and… oh that’s it.

Do you have a friend in Europe or the US that could buy it for you then ship it to you.
Do you know anyone who goes to University in Dubai? Maybe the schools have a special deal where students are actually able to get Apples with minimum hassle.
I just noticed that Amazon sells Macs — go to their website and see if they ship to Dubai.

I have the exact same problem here in South Africa.
I am not sure what your import duties are, but I found that importing a Mac from the US would turn out to be about the same price as buying one here, once you factor in all the other costs that come in.
Unless you know someone in the States who could ship it for you or bring it over, I would just bite the bullet and get one from an Apple reseller over there.
I paid over $ 4000 USD for my MacBook Pro 17″, new, from an official Apple reseller over here. And that was a competitive price.

I brought Mac but people think I am rich spoil kid, cause I have mac, and mac are expensive. I shouldnt have brought it.
