First off, this is NOT a voltage converter so if you have 110V appliances, make sure the power plugs for those are universal (i.e., accept 110-240V) before using them with this overseas. Also, the pics on Amazon sort of make it seem like you get three adapters, but they are really just different modes of the same adapter -you only get one adapter.

I like that this adapter is compact and lightweight and it comes in a small cloth carrying case. This was important to me because I didn’t want anything too bulky or heavy. And unlike other adapters you don’t have to carry around all these other plug extensions (i.e., one for each plug type). You can flip a switch on either side and either a UK, Europe, Asia, or US plug will surface. You can then flip or press the other plugs back into the device so that only one plug type is sticking out (just like in the pictures). I used this in Europe with no problems – as you can see, the Europe plug juts out more than the other modes. This is very important since many outlets in Europe are inset, and without that extra length on the plug, the adapter would not reach the outlet.

Also, this adapter is universal on both sides. So you can plug virtually any type of plug into it as well. All in all, a great product and a great value.

Very clever and compact little adapter. Just be aware that when you extend some of the prongs, you must use the LOCK switch to lock them into place.

I saw the lock switch and assumed it was used only to lock the prongs back into the adapter when the prongs weren’t in use. Wrong… you use this lock both when extending the prongs for use and when pushing them back to conceal them. If you don’t lock the prongs when using them protruded, then you can’t plug the adapter in. The outlet will appear to be pushing the adapter right back out again.

I didn’t lock the prongs when extended and was absolutely baffled why every outlet in my house appeared to be pushing the adapter out again when I plugged it in. I theorized that the outlets had some secret spring-loaded safety feature and that the adapter was defective because it was tripping this non-existent safety feature. I even started to make a video review to prove to skeptics that my outlets were pushing out the adapter whenever I plugged it in.

A neighbor finally examined the adapter and reminded me of the lock switch… mystery solved, and I feel like someone with the IQ of a houseplant.

I didnt think I could get excited about an adaptor but this one is really neat. When I bought it I thought it only converted US plug to the rest of the worlds sockets with neat little flip out pins.

But it actually takes any worldwide plug and converts it to any socket in the world how cool is that !!!

I purchased five of this item to use while overseas. The design idea is brilliant. One adapter plugs into anything and allows anything to plug into it. Flip a switch on one end and out pops a two prong standard American 110 plug; manually lift a two prong European style 220 plug, or flip a switch on the other end, and out pop three plugs for a UK designed 220 volt outlet. The front also receives all three style plugs. The problem is, one of the three UK plugs, the ground, is plastic (so there is no ground) and it swivels so it does not hold the unit tightly to the wall outlet. All three plugs seem slightly smaller than the standard size. I had to tape mine to the wall to keep it plugged in in every outlet I have tried. Mind you, I said I bought five. All five have the same design, all five have the same flaw. None will stay plugged into the wall using the UK plug after you plug something else into the front of the adapter. The price is ridiculously low for a product of this nature. I thought I found a bargain. Beware! There is a reason for the low price! Poor quality!

I can’t claim to have personally tried every single outlet in Europe, but I can tell you that the majority of European plugs are recessed: that is, the actual socket into which the plug prongs go is set into a little round hole about half an inch deep. This adapter does not fit into that recess, and is therefore useless. I found this out the hard way in both Holland and the Czech Republic, and great was the wailing and lamentation on both occasions.

You can use this with an extender built for the purpose (see the Simran Plug Adapter on this site for an example), but if you’re doing that, why not just get an adapter that fits in the first place?

I ordered this case the day after I received my iPad. I got the case in the mail today and I must say that I’m very dissatisfied. First and foremost the case does not fit well at all. I believe that whoever designed it did not account for the contoured back of the iPad, and therefore when the case is put on, the front sides pull back away from the screen leaving a quarter inch gap on all four sides. The corners fit well, and the buttons are all well protected, but the portion that fits over the black border on the front sticks up and dust or debris will definitely get caught underneath.

Second, the picture shows a cutout on the back where the Apple logo would show through. The case I received does not have that cutout. Had the cutout been there the case might fit better as it wouldn’t have to stretch as much to cover the contoured back of the iPad.

Third is the fact that this thing smells really bad! I’ve purchased vinyl products before that had an odor, but this one is terrible. I had it sitting in the other room and when a breeze came through the house I could distinctly smell the funky rubber smell.

Do yourself a favor and purchase a different case. The price may seem right, but it is a really good example of “you get what you pay for”…

I love the “feel” of this gel skin, but the front is too loose. They made the frame large enough to slip in the iPad, but in doing so, the frame around the touch screen is too loose. I can imagine that large amounts of debris will get stuck in between the skin and the screen. And every time you take the skin off to remove debris, the front will get more loose!

After looking at the photo again, I see that the gel skin frame is much wider in the actual product than what is shown in the photo. A narrower frame may result in less of the “looseness” that I’m experiencing.

I have trimmed the 3/4″ frame back to 1/4″ – more like what it looks like in the product picture. I’m MORE satisfied than I was with it originally, so have upped my rating to two stars.

This gel skin protects the back and sides and has a nice feel to it. The controls are accessible either through holes or by working through the gel. This skin is a reasonable TEMPORARY solution at a reasonable price.

The fit is loose at best. Mine did have the cutout for the logo in back. The smell is awful it stinks so bad like some sort of turpentine or paint thinner.

Highly dissatisfied with the product and the Customer service is poor and slow to get back.

I’ve read the other (mostly negative) reviews, and I don’t seem to have any of those problems. Mine fits nice, smells fine, has the cutout on the back, the holes are where they should be, and it doesn’t seem to weigh much. Maybe they have quality control problems, but for me it was fine. I don’t see how a soft gel skin could fit much tighter. I like that I can easily remove it and put it back on. No flaws for me, so I’m giving it 5 stars.

As previous noted by others, the skin does not fit tight on the Ipad, though it does serves it purpose. I rather try this product 1st then drop $40 for what I thought was the same item at the Apple store. So the product is fine. I’m giving it only 3 stars because of one big flaw, the WEIGHT! The skin Plus the IPad feels substantially heavier. Holding the Ipad now feels awkward, so I’m forgoing the skin protection for now and will look at another alternative, keeping the weight of the item in mind.
