Hi friends,
i live in India.I’m 20 and studying Computer Science Engineering 1st year. I need to buy a laptop and i plan to get it from abroad. Some of my relatives stay in USA and Dubai.
So suggest me the best laptop as i have a budget of around 800 dollars and i wish to buy within 6 months.i would take 14 or 15 inch and i prefer Linux ubuntu.My preferences are–
1. Very good performance with min. 4GB ram and good processors like i5, i7.
2. Stylish, good looking and high brand value.
3. An integrated graphics card would be an added advantage.
Can my relative buy from USA and give it to me without paying customs?If no so how much do i have to pay? Are there other hassles ?
So friends please recommend the best laptop for all type of uses as i am an advanced windows user, a wannabe programmer and also plan to watch HD videos.

Sony Vaio EA Series? Its listed as $ 849 on the sony site, I’m sure if you do a bit of searching you can find it cheaper. Hope this helps some.

It’s not a bad idea to purchase it from abroad as you will get it cheap but the things you will miss is of warranty claim and plus the shipping charges will be same.
So it will make your laptop same as it was.
